French Crêpes

Thanks to famous pastry chef Pierre Hermé, you can make the perfect french crêpes in your own kitchen!

Ingredients
  

  • 500 ml milk
  • 60 ml water
  • 4 eggs
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 3 g salt
  • 20 g butter, melted
  • 200 g flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. In a blender, add all of the ingredients and mix for 1 minute
  2. Transfer to a clean bowl, cover and let rest for 1 hour
  3. Heat up a skillet to medium high.
  4. Whisk the batter and pour a ladle full of batter into the pan. Rotate the pan to cover the bottom with a thin layer of batter. If you find it's too thick to cover the bottom quickly, add a tad water to the batter.
  5. Cook for approximately 1 minute or until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 30 seconds - 1 minute.
  6. Transfer to a plate and continue.
